There are moments when light flows unimpeded, filling everything with clarity, and others when shadow both conceals and reveals.
This alternation has always enchanted me.
Not only in painting, but also in life.
In my painting, light and shadow do not battle each other.
They converse.
One accentuates the other.
One gives birth to the other!
And in theatre as well, as Anastasia well knows as an actress, a work without this “dialogue” does not exist.
Light reveals, shadow suggests.
The visible and the unseen coexist.
Silences and glances give meaning to words…
And in both arts, what is not illuminated does not mean it does not exist. The story they tell together is what unveils the truth.
In life, we cannot understand joy without having felt sorrow. Each person chooses what light will “narrate” and what darkness will “whisper”…
I often wonder: what is it that illuminates us?
And what is it that we choose to keep in the shadows?

We hope you enjoyed it, and we thank you for joining us!
Every Monday, we will be here with a new blog.
